Hi and welcome back this week I will be sharing with you all about the kiwi singer lorde.
Her real name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor she was first introduced to fame in 2013 for her different stage presents with her new and unheard of songs. She has a different voice than others this was one of many reasons why she is so popular. She has many song like rib's and green light.She go her name from royals and aristocracy she added an "e" after the name Lord, which she felt was too masculine, to make it more feminine. now her parents first Her father is a civil engineer who actually used to employ her during school breaks. Her mother, Sonja Yelich, is an award-winning poet who encouraged Lorde to read a ton during her childhood.

Pool day

On Friday last week We went to Waltham pool. Waltham pool is a very cool outdoor pool that has One huge pool 1 kiddy pool and a hidroslide. It was very fun to play rugby in the water and hang out whit my mates. It was a very enjoyable day and let me know in the comments if you have ever been to waltham pool and if you've enjoyed it as much as I did.

Hello and welcome back to a another blog post and today I will be talking about what we had to do in our writing workshop this last week. So as you can see our focus was poems and we had a choice of choosing to d a limerick, haiku, using comparisons in poetry and a Cinguain. Out of all of these different types of poetry I chose to do a Haiku Because they are realy easy.

Haiku

"Haiku" is a traditional form of Japanese poetry.

Haiku poems consist of 3 lines. The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables.

Syllable pattern: 5, 7, 5.

The lines rarely rhyme.

As Haiku poems only have 3 lines to work with, they are usually written about one simple thing.
