Winter sport

This term we had a choice of choosing these sports on a Thursday

Hockey
Rugby
Football and netball

Each person from year 5-8 got to chose a sport that they wanted to play on a Thursday. I chose rugby and had to trial for the team and made it. We ended up winning our pool and were picked for zones we were all proud of our self's for making it this far at the end of all of our games we found out that we had one zones as well and were chosen for centrals. Centrals was realy hard and it was full of realy good teams. Sadly we didn't win centrals but we still had lots of fun and thank you to miss Hanson, Mrs Scott and miss Henderson for making Thursday sport possible.

Reading task

This term we was given a book and had 5 weeks to reed the whole thing. Each week we had a different task to do on our books . The book that I was given was through thick ad thin. The book had a very good story line to it and was realy fun and creative. It is definitely a book that I would reed again. In the boxes bellow was one of the tasks that we had to do. I realy enjoyed writing this task because it made me remember the book.

In the text it says...
I think this means...
I think this event will have implications throughout the novel because...
His muscles rippled.Brad was awesome. Shorter than Rudy but solid. Real strong. He worked in the gym and played hooker for the under 20-s rugby team.
That He's ripped and would be a really good at rugby.
Brad sounds like someone you wouldn't want to mess with and I think he will be in a lot of problems in this story.
Matthew chucked his tennis racket onto his bed. It was a million degrees outside but still Mrs Darwin had made them practice. An under 14s tournament was coming up next week.
That he was really hot and and devastated that they still have training.
He could of dehydrated because it was really hot and he had tennis training.
After new years they would go to the beach camping with Caleb's family. They'd planned to go to the nearby skate park later on but where was his bike now?Painted different colours?the serial number scratched of?Broken?what's your problem, d*******?”
That something would happen at the beach.
This will have a problem throughout the book because they might not forgive each other and it could change the story.
See anyone on a bmx? he shouted to people. My bikes been stolen! Some shook their heads, some shouldered past him, some Just gapped. No one cared.
That he can't go on bike rides anymore.
If his friends asked him to go on a bike ride he would have to say no. Because he doesn't have a bike.
Thank you for reading this post and I'll See you in the next one.
Bye

Stanford maths

Image result for stanford uni math course

In term 2 we did a Stanford maths course which was 6 lessons long and very interesting. The person telling us running the course was Jo bowler who is a maths wiz from Stanford she explained each lesson. Each lesson had  a video and a question. I learned that it his normal to get a question wrong and good for your brain. If you fail your brain learns more but if you succeed every single time your brain wont grow as much. If you would like to learn about Stanford maths than go do your online course no
