Reading T3 W8

This week for reading we have been focusing on reading Percy Jackson and the lightning thief I am up to page 132 and so far it is a really good book. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series. Here is my task for this week.

Goal: Summarising 

Identify at least one important idea and justify why it is important.

Percy's pen knife is a good idea Because no one will expect it and if he is in trouble then he can pull out his pen and kill whoever is trying to kill him. This makes me think about Percy being in trouble and him pulling out his pen and stabbing someone. I think that the author has focused on this idea because it is an important part of the story.

 This week for reading I had to write a short story on Alma which is a mini movie that e had to watch before we rit the story. We also had to include lots of different types of grammar. here it is:

Alma stomped away filled with anger and was as cold as ice. Meanwhile the door was slowly creaking open from Alma throwing many snowballs at it. Alma was happy once again and was filled with excitement as she skipped into the dark gloomy room. Alma was really thrilled to see her on a dole. She felt special and it made her want the dole even more. Even though the dole was really hie on the shelf, Alma couldn't just leave it there, it looked just like her. Alma reached her hand out and…

Should kids be able to eat junk?

 Hey can you here me out.

This week for reading we had to pick between if kids should be able to eat junk food. Personally I don't know why someone would think that kids shouldn't be able to eat junk food. No one eats loads and loads of Junk food. If you eat junk food you can still be fit like some athletes are. I don't have anything to share because we did it live.

 This is the start of my speech what do you think?

Me knowing that there are lots of people in the world right now that dont have food is really sad. Because there is enough food in the world to feed the billions of people in the world but the people that need that food the most don't have it. How would you feel if you went hungry? 

Some people in the world right now don't eat any protein which is really bad because without protein you don't have any energy. In Fact not having protein in your body for a long period of time you could Die! This needs to stop, Everyone should have food in their bodys, it's not right to go hungry.

Some families look forward to a bowl of rice everyday and people that are wealthy have a bowl of cereal then have lunch, dinner and sometimes even dessert. Knowing that 820 million people in the world right now are suffering from hunger which makes me feel SICK!

This week for writing we have been writing about the story of Hansel and Gretel here are my two story's:

Story 1

“ I'm scared, ” said the little girl. “It will be fine” Said the boy, “nothing is going to happen to us” The boy knew that their parents wanted the Two kids to desiper. Suddenly in the distance they saw a house made out of gingerbread “ I'm feeling hungry maybe we should eat some “ Says the little girl, “ I agree”

Says the boy. On the side of the house they could see a demented chimney and a unsdable door. They could see a bit of candie sliding off the side of the house. They were living a dream.

Story 2

Hansel was getting fatter and fatter as the day blew bye like the wind, the witch was getting hungrier and hungrier and could not wait to eat this little boy. The boy got so fat that he couldn't eat anymore caramel - cakes or crunchy - carrots. What the witch didn't know is that the little boy was fooling the witch with a bone but since the witch's eyesight was soooo bad that she had mistaken it as the little boy's finger.

Writing blog T2 W1

This week for writing I Had to write a story based on Hansel and Gretel and had to use different punctuation.

I also Had to write 9 sentences using 1 adverbial phrase, 1 Intensifier and 1 sight which  is describing what things look like.

Here is that task:

Pip could sense danger ahead and there was no time for him to stand and watch this big truck about to roll over a blind old lady. Pip had to do something. The truck looked like a big bulldozer slowly flattening everything in its Path. Pip had to move fast so he bounded over to the old blind lady and with his mouth grabbed the bag and pulled the little old lady to safety. Pip was very relieved that he saved her from getting rolled over into the cement and was filled with excitement and was very proud of his accomplishment.
