In 2010 A 7.1 earthquake hit Christchurch damaging nearly all the buildings in the city including Christchurch CTV  building killing 185 people which is devistating. Luckily the student volunteer army helped by putting out someone on facebook so nearly 3000 students showed up to help dig up 65.000 tons of liquefaction and they had it done in know time.

The next next year another earthquake struck on february the 22nd And since the facebook notice was sent out there before 2011 lots more people helped this year compared to the year before And when I says lots I mean 13.000 students volunteering to help clean up Christchurch. All the students that helped showed greatness by Making christchurch look better by cleaning up the liquefaction around the city and I am sure that everyone who helped has been thank you alot by some very grateful people.

I think that it's a very nice thing to do and It is showing service and kindness To new zealand and they are helping new zealand be a beautiful happy country once again I hope you enjoyed and hopefully it Inspires you to do great things around the world.

Biography

Paul George was born on the 2nd of May 1990 in Palmdale, California. He went to Night King’s High School in Palmdale. His mother Paulette and Father Paul provided him with a good upbringing helping build his passion for basketball. He had three sisters Daniela, Teiosha and Portala.



Paul George was inspired by a great basketball player named Kobe Bryant. Paul received his first instruction in the game from his older sister. It was only in his freshman year in High School that he started playing organised Basketball. In the 2010 NBA draft, he was chosen by the Indiana Pacers as the 10th overall pick and he clinched the NBA All-Rookie Second Team honours in 2011. 



Paul George got the chance to play for the UCLA Bruins. In 2007 he was instrumental in Knight’s golden league championship win and was subsequently hailed as the golden league most valuable player the Antelope valley. He accepted the first scholarship he was offered and verbally committed to Santa Clara. However his High School coach Tom Hegre advised him to wait for more options.



Paul appeared in 34 games being part of the starting lineup in all of them Playing for an average of 34.6 minutes per game he scored 14.3 points per game. Then he went on to win a gold metal in the Olympics for basketball In his old team the Indiana Pacers.



Paul George is a great NBA player as I have already said.He is so great that he became an All star which is pretty much the best of the best in the NBA. Oh and by the way if you don't know what NBA stands for because if you don't then it stands for national basketball association.



In Paul George's first game he didn't score a point he missed all seven shots that he took which is like really really bad and as you have read he has gotten a lot better in the past 2 to 3 years.Paul is a very confident and and focused player and that is what makes him great.



Paul George is living the life he has been wanting to live for years. He has had a dream and chased it which is why Paul George inspires me to follow my dreams to be a great sportsman and to try anything. A famous quote of Paul’s is “The worst has happened the best is next.” This is something I always try to remember. Paul is not only a great basketballer, but also a great person. 

Swimming sports

Today was the day the day that I would be doing swimming sports I hope you enjoy. So my first race was 25 m backstroke which is one of my least favourite but still I wanted to try it. You wouldn't believe it but I finally won out of three years I haven't won a single race.

Next up was 50 m freestyle which is my favourite stroke but that was the one that I did really bad in. I was really enjoying swimming sports so far. Until I had to do 50 m breath stroke which is one that I really hate and of course I came last in it because I am not a natural swimmer. Anyway I hope you enjoyed this blog post.
